Our Coaching Staff
Duncan Nicol
Head COACH
Now in his 5th full year as the head boys’ and girls’ soccer coach at Arlingon High School – Duncan Nicol’s 19 years in coaching spans many levels of the game. His previous roles include interim head coach and assistant coach for the Union University women’s program, assistant coach at Collierville High School, head coach for both the boys’ and girls’ programs at Southwind High and a club coach with the Collierville Lobos Rush Soccer Association where he won a state championship with the 98 boys. A native of North Delta, British Columbia, Canada, Duncan has also had the opportunity to play at various levels including winning the Canadian National Club Championships with his youth team North Delta United. Nicol attended Union University where he and his team won the NCCAA National Championship and went undefeated in all four years on their home field. Coach Duncan lives in Lakeland with his wife Julie, son Cayden, and daughter Callie.
Heather Haskins
GIRLS HEAD JV COACH
Heather Haskins, an alumni of Arlington High, brings a youthful intelligence and perspective to the Tigers coaching staff. Haskins played for the Collierville Rush Lobos. During her club career, she achieved state titles, regional appearances, as well as competing in the National Tournament for US Soccer. She then went on and played at the collegiate level for Austin Peay University. Upon graduation, Heather has returned to Shelby County to continue her studies at the University of Memphis. Heather is serving as an Assistant Coach for the Junior Varsity program for both boys and girls.
Anna Grace Ferrell
GIRLS ASST. VARSITY COACH
Anna Grace Ferrell, a recent graduate of Faith Heritage Christian Academy, distinguished herself in varsity soccer at Arlington High School, where she played all four years and served as captain in her senior year. Her dedication extended to club soccer, where she spent eight years honing her skills, culminating with Lobos Rush. Now, Anna Grace is thrilled to return to Arlington High as the girls’ Varsity Assistant Coach. She brings with her a wealth of experience, a deep passion for the sport, and a commitment to mentoring the next generation of players.
Olivia Luther
GIRLS ASST. JV & GK COACH
Olivia Luther, alumni of Saint Benedict & Collierville Lobos Rush achieved state titles, regional appearances, named team MVP, and all-state goalkeeper titles during her high school and club career. She then went on the play at the collegiate level at Arkansas State University where as a junior, she took on a starting role in 16 out of 18 matches, accumulating 1305 minutes on the field while maintaining a 0.97 goals-against average. She recorded 58 saves and achieved 5 shutouts throughout the season. Moving into her senior year, she received Academic All-District Honors and played in 12 matches with 61 saves. Olivia has returned to Memphis as a Registered Dietitian and is serving as the goalkeeper coach & assistant coach for the Junior Varsity girls.
Logan Thompson
BOYS HEAD JV COACH
Logan Thompson, a graduate of the 2021 AHS boys class that won their district and reached the regional finals, grew up playing with the Collierville Lobos and finished playing his club career with the Germantown Legends. Logan joins the staff having just completed his senior year at Tennessee Wesleyan University. Logan has returned to Arlington and will serve as an assistant coach for the program — leading the Junior Varsity boys program.
